Our Gay History in Fifty States is an educational book / audio book that tells the story of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and 2-Spirit (LGBTQ+) American history, state—by—state. The stories that make up this book celebrate significant people, places and events and highlight struggles, successes, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, creating a history to be passed on to future generations.

Our goal is to make this book accessible in public schools, libraries, and other learning centers across the county. The book’s content has been prepared through extensive research by queer youth from across the country. On top of that, a percentage of profits from book sales will go to LGBTQ+ oriented non-profits across the country

 

What we are offering

We’re offering a gold rush-inspired sponsorship opportunity. If you are “prospecting” for an amazing way to (1) make an impact in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth, (2) support an LGBTQ+ business entity project, and (3) support the teaching of LGBTQ+ history in schools then this is the project for you! Each state below has been assigned a minimum sponsorship level (gold, silver or bronze) based on its population. You can sponsor higher than the assigned state minimum. As the state sponsor, you will receive the following:

 
 

1. Prominent acknowledgement within the book and on social media
2. Books donated in your name to learning centers in the state
3. “Thank you” plaque with limited edition signed illustration for the state
4. Mention/reference during media appearances in the state

 
 

Be the first and only company/organization to secure the sponsorship for your state, territory, or commonwealth for the book’s inaugural year!
